Switching Gears means forward momentum

August 13, 2007

This will be my most open blog to the viewers.  Just coming down from my 20 year high school reunion this past weekend; my heart has been moved.

I also read an article in the July 2007 Pro Sound News about New York City's Sear Sound Studios.  Two things are unique in this article about the 44 years that Walter Sear has operated it.  One, it operates on vintage equipment heavily using vacum tubes.  The other was Sear's statement that he never used interns (challenge to me) and believed in paying his engineers a good wage.  Quote, "If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys"
